PRF Interviews

Editor’s note: From February 2-5, 2020, pain researchers will gather for Pain: Aligning the Target, a new Keystone Symposium (see here for more information and registration). The meeting will be held jointly with another Keystone Symposium, Somatosensation: From Detection to Perception (see here for more information and registration).

In this meeting preview, Allan Basbaum (University of California, San Francisco, US), Laura Bohn (The Scripps Research Institute, Jupiter, Florida, US), and William Schmidt (NorthStar Consulting, Davis, California, US), the scientific organizers of Pain: Aligning the Target, were kind enough to sit down with PRF for a podcast. In particular, they discuss their goal of bringing together researchers who study pain mechanisms with those who have a more translational focus, for the purpose of addressing gaps in knowledge and speeding the development of new treatments. Listen to the podcast below. (And stay tuned in the future for more previews from other meetings in the pain field.)

Editor’s note: This podcast was conceived and produced independently and solely by PRF, with all editorial decisions about the content and focus made only by the PRF editors, with no input from Keystone. All of PRF’s news and meeting coverage is editorially independent.
