Third Edition

The third edition of the Core Curriculum is a dynamic resource for patient care and training purposes. Developed by the IASP Task Force on Professional Education and edited by J. Edmond Charlton, MBBS, FRCA, the document’s four sections address general issues for pain education and research; the assessment and psychology of pain; the treatment of pain, including by pharmacology and other methods; and clinical states, including taxonomy, tissue pain, visceral pain, headache and facial pain, nerve damage, and special cases.
