Multiple Myeloma with intracranial plasmacytoma.

We present a case of a 43-year-old male who was found to have an intracranial mass lesion on headache imaging. On further follow up, the patient developed systemic features of hypercalcemia, anemia and renal dysfunction. The biopsy of the mass was negative multiple times. A bone marrow biopsy was done due to high suspicion of multiple myeloma which showed plasma cell infiltration of the bone marrow. The patient's serum was however negative for an M band with only a narrow M band in the urine suggestive of oligosecretory multiple myeloma.

Social inequalities in the provision of obstetric services in Norway 1967-2009: a population-based cohort study.

Socioeconomic (SE) inequalities have been observed in a number of adverse outcomes of pregnancy and many of the risk factors for such outcomes are associated with a low SE level. However, SE inequalities persist even after adjustment for these risk factors. Less well-off women are more vulnerable, but may also get less adequate health services. The objective of the present study was to assess possible associations between SE conditions in terms of maternal education as well as ethnic background and obstetric care.

Early Age of Migraine Onset is Independently Related to Cognitive Decline and Symptoms of Anxiety Affect Quality of Life.

People with migraine experience cognitive decline more often than healthy controls, resulting in a significant functional impact. Early identifying influencing factors that contribute to cognitive decline in migraineurs is crucial for timely intervention. Although migraine may onset early in childhood and early onset migraine is related to significant disability, there is no research investigating the association between age of migraine onset and migraineurs' cognitive decline. Therefore we aim to explore possible factors that correlate to cognitive function of migraineurs, especially focus on age of migraine onset.
