Identification of Plasma Proteome Signatures Associated With Surgery Using SOMAscan.

Abstract
MINI: In this manuscript, the ability of SOMAscan technology to identify proteins differentially expressed before and after surgery in older adults was evaluated. Systems biology analyses demonstrated that inflammatory proteins and biological functions associated with the inflammatory response and immune cell regulation demonstrated the greatest changes after surgery.
