World Congress on Pain® is returning to North America in 2018. The Congress has not been in this region of the globe since 2010. This is the premier Congress for pain specialists. It will attract thousands of specialists from all over the world to discuss the latest information in the field of pain, from laboratory science to clinical diagnosis, management, and prevention.

Scientific Program Committee

Scientific Program Committee plans, directs and supervises the Congress' scientific program content. They develop the overall Congress schedule, review and rate the proposed technical workshops and plenary sessions and suggest and help implement ways to increase the Congress' appeal to particular groups such as trainees, primary care physicians or potential delegates from the developing world. The committee provides continuous feedback throughout the Congress planning cycle, assists in the review of submitted poster abstracts, and develops the selection process for Congress special lectures.

Local Arrangements Committee

Local Arrangements Committee makes recommendations regarding venues/entertainment for Congress functions, solicit local sponsorship for Congress activities, act as hosts during Congress, provide guidance to ensure Congress non-scientific content reflects local culture and that delegates have a memorable experience, work with IASP staff on local logistical issues, provide continuous feedback throughout the Congress planning process.
