IASP is excited to announce that PAIN, the official journal of IASP, has achieved a Journal Impact Factor of 7.926, the highest in its almost 50-year history.
The Impact Factor is a journal-level metric calculated from data indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection and measures how often journal articles are cited during a specific period. PAIN received 46,662 citations in 2021.
Journals are also ranked by their Impact Factor, and PAIN scored highly in several categories:
- 5th of 34 in Anesthesiology
- 21st of 212 in Clinical Neurology
- 33rd of 274 in Neurosciences
Congratulations to Editor-in-Chief, Francis J. Keefe, as well as to PAIN’s Section Editors, Associate Editors, and the Editorial Office staff. A special thanks to our authors and reviewers–and of course, to our readers. All have contributed to this outstanding achievement.
