As a part of the second phase of the IASP website development project, IASP launches four new topic pages. This new section of the website will provide visitors with key insights from experts and access to tools and resources related to a specific topic of concern.
IASP worked with multidisciplinary experts to compile this information and produce a series of pain-related topics pages, including:
- Acute Pain: Acute Pain is a sudden sensation that alerts us to possible injury. Acute pain can be severe, intense, but also short in duration.
- Back and Neck Pain: Back and neck pain are common conditions and can be acute or last for weeks, months, or even years.
- Basic Science and Pain Models: Pain models bring laboratory science to our understanding of pain in humans.
- COVID-19 and Pain: Muscle pain is a common symptom of COVID-19 and can linger after you’ve had the virus.
