LaToya Archibald

Director of Leadership and Governance

LaToya Archibald is a graduate of Howard University and has dedicated the past 15 years of her career to championing educational equity, environmental justice, birth justice, and non-profit management

With a keen eye for detail and strategic vision, LaToya oversees critical processes such as the biennial nominations and elections, Call for Volunteers, and the selection of dedicated volunteers for committees, task forces, and working groups. Guided by her commitment to inclusivity, she strives to cultivate a diverse volunteer leadership that effectively represents the members it serves.  Additionally, LaToya plays a pivotal role in aligning these efforts with the organization’s strategic planning objectives, ensuring a cohesive and forward-thinking approach.  Her extensive expertise enriches her role, ensuring a seamless operation of the organization’s governance structure while upholding compliance with bylaws and policies.

Beyond her contributions to IASP, LaToya actively advocates for social justice and community development. She serves as the Board Governance Chair for Little Lights Urban Ministries and is a founding Board Member for DC Unity and Justice Fellowship. Furthermore, LaToya volunteers as a birth doula in the Washington, DC, area, supporting and empowering families during the profound journey of childbirth.
