As a scientist-practitioner, I have been developing and studying the efficacy of psychosocial pain treatments, primarily as they relate to youths with chronic pain. My research interests are related to the development and evaluation of measures of pain, as well as on the development and evaluation of psychosocial pain treatments.
I am also interested in helping develop Ibero-American multidisciplinary research networks in the area of pediatric pain. My teaching activities focus on mentoring postdoctoral research fellows in the skills needed for a successful independent research career in the field of pain.
