Mission Statement:The mission of this Committee is to consolidate AAED for the integration of clinical update, training and research on Pain for the current and futures members, with the aim of providing the community with Evidence-Based Practice.

The purposes for which this Association is organized are exclusively of an academic nature and include:

1. To promote and stimulate research into pain syndromes by bringing together professionals in the field of pain dedicated to various disciplines and who have an interest in pain research and treatment.

2. To promote and facilitate all information in the field of pain through various publications.

3. To promote and sponsor National Congresses and any other type of meeting that is of interest to the purposes of the Association.

4. To encourage the adoption of a uniform classification and definition in relation to pain and pain syndromes according to the taxonomy of the International Association for the Study of Pain.

5. To advise International, National and Regional Institutions on standards related to the use of medicinal agents or other procedures used in pain therapy.

6. To participate in any other scientific activity that is directly or indirectly related to pain research.

7. Promote and disseminate to national, provincial or municipal health authorities everything that is considered appropriate for the better understanding, study and treatment of painful pathologies or syndromes, seeking to ensure compliance with the guidelines established by the National Program for Quality Assurance of Medical Care.

This task will be carried out through teamwork and in an interdisciplinary way, consolidating the previews managements achievements and following IASP guidelines.
