Aims and Tasks of the Subgroup
The aim of the Global Advocacy Working Group (GAWG) ICD-11 Subgroup is to maintain the classifications for pain in the World Health Organization’s International Classification of Diseases 11th Revision (ICD-11). This includes tasks such as recognizing opportunities to increase engagement with ICD-11, identifying opportunities to support its implementation, and recommending changes or updates as new scientific evidence becomes available.
