Established by IASP and friends and family of Philip A. Spiegel, a young medical researcher and IASP member who died in 2010 from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, this scholarship awards a trainee with free registration, hotel, and travel expenses to attend the World Congress on Pain.
In honor of long-time pain researcher and IASP leader, William D. Willis, Jr., MD, PhD, this award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to basic science pain research and awards them with $2,000 and complimentary registration, travel, and accommodations to the IASP World Congress.
