2019 is the Global Year Against Pain in the Most Vulnerable Populations
IASP has committed its 2019 Global Year Against Pain to the theme of Pain in the Most Vulnerable Populations,” focusing on four patient groups identified as particularly high risk for inadequate assessment and management: pain in children, older adults, survivors of torture and war, and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
See the new website for ideas on how to get engaged, including sharing free resources such as a fact sheet series and collected PAIN and Pain Relief articles on both the problem and feasible, vetted solutions that address the common communication barriers between these patients and health care providers.
Don't forget to register for the first of four free Global Year webinars: February 25th, Pediatric Pain! It’s free, but registration is required.
