Apply for IASP’s Largest Fellowship: A US$100,000 2019 John J. Bonica Trainee Research Fellowship

Pain research trainees are encouraged to apply for IASP’s largest annual fellowship—a two-year, $100,000 ($50,000 annually for two years) fellowship that will help build careers and support mentoring and important trainee research.

The John J. Bonica Trainee Research Fellowship is named in honor of the founder of IASP and is considered one of the most prestigious honors given by the organization. Applications open February 14 and close May 9.

"An unexpected bonus of the John J. Bonica Fellowship has been the recognition within the pain research community,” says past recipient Emerson Krock, PhD. “The fellowship has served as a starting point for conversations with scientists from around the world. IASP has also promoted me as a scientist and provided me with interesting professional development opportunities."

Application deadline: May 9, 2019
