The International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) Pain Research Forum (PRF), a virtual meeting place for investigators in academia, industry, medicine, and other fields, introduce its third cohort of correspondents today.March 18, 2021 — IASP Position Statement on the Use of Cannabinoids to Treat Pain
The International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) said in a statement today that due to a lack of evidence from high quality research, it does not endorse the general use of cannabinoids to treat pain. IASP has also published a list of research priorities which need to be addressed in order to properly determine the potential efficacy, and to confirm the safety of, cannabinoids when used in the treatment of pain.
PAIN®
PAIN is an official journal of IASP. Published monthly, it contains original research on the nature, mechanisms, and treatment of pain. It is cited in Current Contents and Index Medicus. This peer-reviewed journal is available only to IASP members as a membership benefit.
