Pain in Children
Background
The aim of the IASP Global Year Against Pain is to raise awareness of a different aspect of pain each year. The theme for 2005-2006 was Pain in Children. This theme was emphasized throughout the year with updated materials. IASP Chapters and individuals involved in pain research and treatment organized Global Year events in their communities to focus attention on this facet of pain, with the ultimate objective of improving pain relief in children throughout the world.
