"A pain education course for multi-disciplinary primary practitioners in the community hospital of Sichuan Province"
The course is for the multi-disciplinary primary practitioners in the community hospital of Sichuan province of China. To the majority of multi-disciplinary primary practitioners of community hospital in China, the pain complaints are ignored and pain treatment is inadequate, which leads to patient's unsatisfactory. The lack of multi-disciplinary primary community practitioners' knowledge and comfort combined with lack of access to expert advice has led to under-treatment of pain and/or low or over-prescribing of analgesics, currently a subject of much concern in the community.The course will correct the mis-concepts of multi-disciplinary primary practitioners regarding to pain sufferings. Five hundred booked primary practitioners will be trained how to assess and document the pain and their knowledge of pharmacology and usage of the pain killers will be improved. The pain care in community hospital model will be intend to setup in Sichuan province, which will be likely spreading in China and which may improve pain care in China substantially.
