Help physicians and clinicians from developing countries learn about the latest research regarding pain and pain prevention and management through membership in IASP.
Developing Countries Education Fund
Donations to this fund enhance the availability of essential education for pain clinicians of all specalties in developing countries. Awards are up to US$10,000 each year.
John J. Bonica Trainee Fellowship Fund
The John J. Bonica Trainee Fellowship was established in 1998 in memory of the founder of IASP. This fund supports the training of young researchers and is not limited to any specific area of pain. Awards are up to US$35,000 each year.
Philip A. Spiegel IASP Congress Trainee Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2011 by IASP and friends and family of Philip A. Spiegel, a young medical researcher and IASP member who died in 2010. He suffered from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and was planning to enter medical school to study pain management. The trainee awarded this scholarship receives free registration, hotel, and travel expenses to attend the World Congress on Pain.
