The Pacific Pain Forum (PPF) is an interdisciplinary pain conference in Vancouver, Canada. Beyond Pain: Embracing Compassion and Trauma-Informed Awareness, recognizes that pain care is never one-dimensional. It must include the biological, psychological, social, and cultural contexts in which pain is experienced.
Key Highlights:
• Dr. Gabor Maté, internationally renowned physician and author, will deliver the closing keynote on Trauma, Illness & Healing in a Toxic Culture. His insights into trauma, healing, and the human condition promise to resonate deeply with our attendees.
• Richard Peter, Indigenous Peoples’ Liaison, advocate & Canadian Paralympian will deliver our opening keynote address.
