Scope
This prize is presented to individuals who, over an extended period of time, have served IASP in an outstanding way through volunteer participation. This could include service on the Council, in SIG leadership, in editorial or meeting planning capacities, extended service on a committee, working group, or task force, or other service to IASP.
Eligibility
To be considered for this prize, the nominee must meet the following criteria:
- Be a current IASP member and have been a member for at least 10 years
- Have served on at least 3 volunteer groups
- Have demonstrably moved a project forward for the betterment of the Association
Prize Selection Process
The IASP Prize Committee reviews all nominations and selects the intended recipient. The IASP Executive Committee has final approval of the chosen recipient.
Prize Details
The recipient is recognized at the IASP World Congress on Pain. The recipient also receives a plaque, IASP membership, economy airfare to the Congress, Congress registration, Congress accommodation expenses and a cash prize of US$2,500.
