Nomination Deadline: 5 January 2025
This year the Pain in Childhood SIG wants our membership to nominate the distinguished scholar that most influenced their career, way of thinking and, in their opinion, contributed most significantly to the advancement of our understanding of paediatric pain. Award recipients will give a plenary lecture at the 15th International Symposium on Pediatric Pain 2025 (ISPP 2025), 17 – 20 June in Glasgow, Scotland, UK, and will receive a monetary prize of $1,500 along with flights, hotel accommodation (3 nights), and complimentary registration to ISPP 2025.
Nominees must:
- Have a long-standing, original, rigorous, and impactful career in pediatric pain research.
- Have demonstrated outstanding mentorship of research trainees and/or junior faculty.
- Provided a service to the professional community, with some contributions to the wider scientific community within a country (or at an international level).
- Have a reputation of scientific integrity and academic collegiality.
Nominations should include a brief statement justifying the nomination and the contact details of the nominee. Nominations will also form the “membership vote,” which will be counted alongside those of the SIG Award Committee.
