Sharnene Smith, the Membership and Marketing Coordinator for the IASP. She serves as a liaison for IASP’s Membership and Chapter Committee and is responsible for answering inquiries, providing information, managing membership records, and creating regular communication activities. Sharnene’s primary goal is to ensure the satisfaction of members and prospective members by being a membership and customer service expert. She also assists in planning events, implements an efficient member database, and promotes membership and participation to international clients. In addition, she ensures adherence to guidelines, liaises with clients to understand their needs, works with staff to accomplish tasks, and contacts vendors for outsourced services. Sharnene also runs accounting software programs (e.g. SAP) to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts. Sharnene most enjoys speaking over the phone or by email with IASP members. When Sharnene isn’t busy working, she likes to listen to music and singing along.
