Rob was born and raised outside Washington, DC, and returned to start his career after attending college in North Carolina, where he studied History with a minor in East Asian Studies (China’s Transition to Modernity) and Ceramics and living abroad in China. Rob’s work has remained focused in a membership capacity for associations since 2007 and has worked for a trade/ industrial advocacy association, a professional society, and (two) scientific society(s). Rob has seen the field develop during this time and has experience in most aspects of association management. He most enjoys connecting with members, and I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to meet and interact with a huge variety of people from all over the world. He particularly enjoys the work of IASP and finds it to be truly gratifying is helping members connect with each other and seeing the good rewards of IASP membership.
