Ziya “Z” Altug, PT, DPT, MS, OCS, CSCS

Ziya “Z” Altug, PT, DPT, MS, OCS, CSCS is a board certified physical therapist with 30 years of experience in treating musculoskeletal conditions. He currently treats patients privately in Los Angeles and works as an adjunct assistant professor.

Altug received his bachelor’s degree in physical therapy at the University of Pittsburgh, his master’s degree in sport and exercise studies and bachelor’s degree in physical education from West Virginia University and a DPT degree from the College of St. Scholastica. Altug is a long-standing member of the American Physical Therapy Association and National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has attended numerous workshops including yoga, tai chi, qigong, Pilates, Feldenkrais Method, and the Alexander Technique.

Altug is the author of Integrative Healing: Developing Wellness in the Mind and Body (Plain Sight Publishing, 2018) and 2012 Healthy Lifestyle Wall and Engagement Calendars (TF Publishing, 2011), and coauthor of The Anti-Aging Fitness Prescription (Hatherleigh Press, 2006) and Manual of Clinical Exercise Testing, Prescription and Rehabilitation (Appleton & Lange, 1993).


Pamela Katz Ressler, RN, MS, HNB-BC

Pamela Katz Ressler, RN, MS, HNB-BC is the founder of Stress Resources in Boston, MA, USA and an adjunct clinical assistant professor of Community Medicine and Public Health at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA, USA. She communicates the experience of pain through her work with mindfulness based interventions, peer to peer healthcare, and narrative practices. Ms. Ressler’s work and research are grounded in the science and the art of wellness and human connection. She developed and co-taught the first graduate seminar in Mindfulness at Tufts University School of Medicine. Her work has earned her the distinction as a thought leader in the field and was selected to co-design The Narrative Playbook: The Strategic Use of Story to Improve Care, Healing and Health (2015). She also currently hosts the podcast Raising Resilience. Ms. Ressler sits on the Board of Directors of ChildKind International, and is a former Mayday Pain and Society Fellow. She is a member of IASP and serves as a member of GAPPA.
