IASP Names Wolters Kluwer Health New Publisher of PAIN
IASP has signed a six-year agreement with Wolters Kluwer Health to publish PAIN, the world's leading journal for pain research and treatment. The shift in publishers will take place with the January 2015 issue.

Top Peer-Reviewed Journal in Anesthesiology Joins the Lippincott Williams & Wilkins Portfolio
(July 9, 2014)—Wolters Kluwer Health, a world leader in healthcare information solutions and the International Association for the Study of Pain® (IASP)—the leading professional organization for science, practice, and education in the field of pain—today announced an agreement to publish the association’s official peer-reviewed journal effective with the January 2015 issue. PAIN® will be published under the Lippincott Williams & Wilkins journal portfolio (LWW), providing print and digital access for IASP members, individual subscribers, and institutional users globally.

The LWW publishing team will enhance PAIN’s publication channels with print, online, and digital platforms. IASP members will have free mobile access to PAIN through smartphones and tablet apps. Institutional libraries affiliated with hospitals, medical schools, and corporations globally will be able to access PAIN through the Ovid© medical research platform. Ovid, part of Wolters Kluwer Health, is a world-class research platform offering more premium evidence-based resources and current clinical content than any other solution.

Published monthly, PAIN reaches nearly 8,000 IASP members worldwide, providing a forum for the dissemination of multidisciplinary research in the basic and clinical sciences. Francis J. Keefe, professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Duke University in North Carolina, is the journal’s editor-in-chief.
