Hypertonicity Intervention Workshop

By the end of this course, participants will be able to: Participants will be able to: -Comprehensively assess clients at the level of upper limb structure and function, activity and participation. -Determine achievable daily life goals for each client and link these to aims for body structure and function. -Apply the Upper Limb Hypertonicity Intervention Planning Model (HIPM) to a range of clients with differing presentations to choose a tailored package of interventions for each client. -Confidently apply intervention options in an individualised way, including resting and functional splints, casting, and referral and follow up from Botulinum toxin injection and orthopaedic surgery. -Evaluate their upper limb neurorehabilitation practice for ongoing improvement in clinical reasoning and intervention implementation.
