Latest Advances in Cancer Pain Management: Basic Science to Clinical Practice

This 2 day conference is for doctors and nurses treating patients with cancer pain. There are a series of lectures covering all aspects of practice including medication, psychology and informatics. We welcome delegates from all disciplines interested in managing patients with cancer related pain. The conference is divided into four parts; Part one covers the neurobiology of cancer pain, neuropathic pain and bone pain, and then focuses on the evidence for specific treatments of these treatments Part two outlines the problem of cancer pain in the UK, and also covers the impact of IT systems in pain and palliative care Part three reviews treatments for cancer pain including oncological treatments and use of nerve blocks. Part four is a session on the impact of cancer pain throughout the world.
