A brief description of your work and interests in the pain field:
As a Professor, Nurse Clinician Scientist, and Nurse Practitioner in the SickKids Chronic Pain Program, I lead the iOUCH lab that focuses on Improving OUtcomes in Child Health using digital technologies (Apps) for children with painful chronic conditions. I am Co-Director of Pain Centre and oversee the Pain in Child Health Research Training (PICH) program at SickKids. I led the development of the Canadian Pediatric Chronic Pain Registry within the CIHR funded Chronic Pain Network and Pediatric Project ECHOTM (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) in Ontario. I co-led the pediatric and adult chronic pain research priority setting initiatives in Canada.

A brief statement of why you are interested in running for the position:
I strive to help advance the IASP mission and vision. I have demonstrated leadership within IASP and Canadian Pain Societies, and a strong track record of leading interprofessional pain research training initiatives and bringing together scientists, health care providers, policymakers and patients and their families to stimulate and support the study of pediatric pain. I have expertise and training in patient engagement and can play a key role in moving this field forward within IASP. Finally, I am one of the few pediatric nurse-clinician scientists and would represent nursing, allied health care providers, and pediatric pain membership on the Council.
