A brief description of your work and interests in the pain field:
Having had an interest in pain field since early in my profession, I have joined IASP as a member since 1988 and a member of Thai Association for the Study of Pain (TASP) since its establishment in 1990.
From 2014 to 2018, I was elected as the President of TASP for two consecutive terms. My team and I had driven multiple pain educations/researches and improved pain management and availability of opioids and other pain medications for Thailand, and working in collaboration with neighbor countries.
My interests include acute and chronic pain management, acupuncture analgesia, quantitative sensory testing and neuropathic pain.
A brief statement of why you are interested in running for the position:
IASP Vision and Mission resonates with my interest and values. I would like to leverage my extensive experience, especially in developing countries in South East Asia and countries with limited resources, to drive research and studies in this field, engage all constituents at all levels and bolster the importance and understanding in pain management while promoting collaboration. I strongly believe that pain relief is a human right and we together as an IASP community can make a difference.
