Special Lectures

At the Congress, IASP bestows two of its highest honors by awarding two long-time Association members the opportunity to give a distinguished lecture. The 2012 John J. Bonica and John D. Loeser Distinguished Lectures will be presented by Troels S. Jensen and Frank Keefe, respectively.

Topical Workshops

The 13th World Congress on Pain will feature a series of simultaneous 90-minute Topical Workshops, providing delegates with great opportunities for floor discussion and learning from leaders in the pain study field. Most sessions will include viewpoints from at least three speakers.

Poster Sessions

The International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) invites members and others to submit poster abstracts to be considered for presentation at the 14th World Congress on Pain.

Satellite Symposia

IASP endorses two types of satellite symposia offered in conjunction with the Congress: member-sponsored and SIG-sponsored. IASP does not oversee the content of these sessions, and therefore does not offer continuing education credit for them. Contact the symposium organizer to determine the availability of continuing education credits.
