Registration for the 13th World Congress on Pain is now open.
All Congress attendees, including invited speakers, must register in
advance of the Congress. Delegates can take advantage of reduced rates
by registering early.

All registration fees are payable in Canadian Dollars (CAD). To

*Please note these rates are only applicable to delegates who are
official members of IASP as recorded in the IASP central office in
Seattle. Membership in an IASP Chapter is not a qualification for these
member rates. Trainees who are not IASP members receive the trainee rate
only if an IASP member certifies the registrant's trainee status. (IASP
member name and email address must be provided during
registration.)
**Refresher Course attendees must register for the Congress
(either one-day or full registration) and pay a separate registration
fee for each Refresher Course attended.
Registration Inclusions
The Congress registration fees include: Access to scientific sessions
(plenary, topical workshops, topical symposia), access to poster
sessions, access to the commercial exhibition, delegate materials and
bag, abstract CD or USB flash drive (format TBD) and access to online
abstracts, coffee breaks, Welcome Reception, and Trainee Reception (for
Trainee delegates only).
Accompanying Guest Fees
The accompanying guest program includes: Welcome Reception on Sunday,
August 29, 2010, Bonjour Montréal City Hop-on Hop-off Bus Tour on
their choice of August 29, 30 or 31, delegate bag, and access to
Congress-organized Tours (tickets required). It does not include access
to other Congress sessions. Note: A name badge will be required for
attendance at all conference events, including the Welcome
Reception.
Confirmation
A confirmation of registration, including a hyperlink to your
personalized registration summary, showing all registration and payment
details, will be sent by email after completion of the online
registration form.
Receipt & Invoice
Receipt/invoice in PDF format is available online through your
registration summary. Once online registration has been completed,
follow the link shown in your email confirmation to access your receipt
and invoice.
Payment Options
The following payment methods are available:
- Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express),
through secure online payment.
- International bank draft (check) in Canadian funds,
drawn on a Canadian bank and made payable to “IASP 2010
care of JPdL". Bank drafts/check will be accepted up to
July 30, 2010, and must be sent to the Congress
Secretariat with a copy of your registration summary to the following
address: Secretariat for the 13th World Congress on Pain 2010 –
JPdL, 1555 Peel St., Suite 500, Montréal QC H3A 3L8, Canada
- An international bank draft is a check issued by a reputed bank
outside of Canada, in Canadian funds. Your bank must be associated with
a Canadian bank and show the name of both banks on the draft for it to
be valid. Please make sure your bank draft is made payable to
“IASP 2010 care of JPdL” and lists your
name and the name of the Congress in reference. Once issued, you will
then need to mail the bank draft to us at the above address.
Unidentified bank drafts will not be processed.
- Wire Transfer, in Canadian funds and including an
additional administrative fee of C$30 for all registrations paid by bank
transfer. Instructions and bank information can be downloaded from your
registration statement. (See hyperlink in your email confirmation for
instructions and to view full amount payable.) The following information
will be required to select this option on line: Bank Name (bank from
which transfer is sent), Bank Issuing Country (country from which
transfer is sent), Contact Person Name (person at your office who is
responsible for the transfer), Contact Person Email, Contact Person
Telephone. Wire transfers will be accepted up to July 15,
2010.
- Invoice Request/Purchase Order: Invoices are
provided to all delegates via hyperlink to their personalized
Registration Summary, as confirmed in the registration confirmation
email. A purchase order number is required for this payment option.
Final payment must be performed using one of the above options.
PLEASE NOTE: NO OTHER METHODS OF PAYMENT CAN BE
ACCEPTED.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation must be confirmed in writing (fax, email or regular
mail) to the Congress Secretariat before July 1, 2010.
For cancellations received prior to July 1, 2010, registration fees
will be refunded less a C$75 administrative fee. No refunds will be
granted for cancellations received after July 1, 2010. Refunds will be
made within 4 weeks after the close of the Congress.
Substitution Policy
Substitutions must be confirmed in writing (fax, email or regular
mail) to the Congress Secretariat before August 1, 2010. Delegate
wishing to transfer their registration to someone else will have to
provide complete registration information, including passport details,
for the other person when initiating the substitution, and they will
have to fill out a “substitution” form provided by the
Congress Secretariat before being allowed to proceed with the
substitution.
Official Letters of Invitation/Visa
Visas to Canada
All participants must have a valid passport and/or an appropriate travel
document to enter Canada. Some participants may also require a visa.
Visas are the responsibility of individual delegates, and must be
obtained before coming to arrival in Canada. If you are travelling
through the USA, you may also require an American visa. Please verify
with your travel agent. For complete information on entry into Canada
and visa requirements – including a list of countries requiring a
visa – please visit http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/index.asp.
If you require a visa, it is strongly recommended that, you apply at
least three months in advance to ensure you receive your visa in time
for travel. To obtain a visa application form, visit the nearest
Canadian Embassy, High Commission or Consulate or get the application
form online from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/visa.asp).
Please note that the Congress organizers and secretariat do not have
the authority to act on behalf on individuals in obtaining visas.
Official Invitation Letters
To support visa applications for Congress participants coming from
countries requiring visa to enter Canada, a letter of invitation is
automatically available to all registered and paid delegates from such
countries. Your passport information must be entered during registration
online to validate the letter. Full payment is required to complete the
registration process and receive an official invitation letter.
