Membership – Join IASP
The International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) brings
together scientists, clinicians, health care providers, and policy
makers to stimulate and support the study of pain and to translate that
knowledge into improved pain relief worldwide. Membership in IASP is
multidisciplinary and open to all professionals involved in the
research, diagnosis, and treatment of all types of pain including acute
pain, chronic pain, and cancer pain.
IASP currently has more than 7,900 members from 133 countries and
in 90 local chapters.

Benefits of membership include a subscription to the
journal PAIN, Pain: Clinical
Updates, and the bimonthlyIASP
e-Newsletter, discounts on books from IASP Press, and
eligibility for IASP grants
and fellowships. Additionally, members can network with one another
by participating in a worldwide Discussion Forum, joining any of
our 20 Special Interest
Groups (SIGs), or attending the World Congress on Pain for reduced

Attention Trainees: IASP offers special
membership rates for our trainees. Trainee applicants are required
to submit a completed Trainee Verification Form (Word or PDF) in addition to their application.
