IASP® Collaborative Research Grants
Grant: Up to US$15,000
Application Deadline: March 15
Purpose:
The IASP Collaborative Research Grants support international,
interdisciplinary collaborations in pain research.
Eligibility Requirements:
The principal investigator in charge of the overall project must be a
member of IASP of at least one year’s standing.
Guidelines:
- Three grants are available per year.
- The grants cover travel and accommodation costs to support
collaborative research by two or more research groups located in
different countries.
- The IASP Committee on Research will evaluate all proposals according
to:
a) scientific merit;
b) the qualifications of the investigators;
c) evidence of interdisciplinary
collaboration.
- Collaborations between basic science and clinical research groups
will receive priority.
- IASP sponsorship will be in the form of a personal grant to the
principal investigator of the project, who is responsible for managing
funds and must submit a detailed financial and scientific report within
two years.
- Publications arising from work supported by these grants must
acknowledge the source of funding.

- The curriculum vitae of the principal investigator from each
collaborating institution.
- Evidence that the costs of the research itself are covered with
other funds.
