IASP® Research Grants Funded by the Scan|Design Foundation by Inger & Jens Bruun

Grant: Up to US$25,000

Application Deadline: March 15

Purpose:

The purpose of these grants is to encourage and support collaborative, multidisciplinary research between two or more research groups located in the five Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden) and the United States.

Eligibility Requirements:

Investigators must be based in Scandinavia (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden) and the United States. The investigator in charge of the overall project must be a member of IASP for at least one year before applying.

Guidelines:

  • Two grants will be awarded.
  • Each award provides a maximum of US$25,000.
  • The IASP Committee on Research will evaluate all submitted proposals based on:
    1. the scientific merit of the research topic;
    2. the curriculum vitae of the investigators.
  • The grants will cover, in full or in part, the cost of the travel and accommodation of investigators of one group working in another of the collaborating laboratories. The costs of the research itself must be covered with other funds.
  • Sponsorship will be in the form of a personal grant to the overall principal investigator, who will be responsible for the financial management of the funds. IASP accepts no liability for financial mismanagement.
  • All publications arising from work supported by these grants should acknowledge this source of funding.
  • Successful applicants will submit a detailed financial and scientific report at the end of the collaboration or two years after the award, whichever is sooner.
