Second Croatian Congress on Pain Treatment

The Second Croatian Congress on Pain Treatment and the First Symposium for Nurses Working in Pain Treatment took place in Osijek, Croatia, on October 7-10, 2010. More than 350 participants from Croatia, neighboring countries, and other European countries attended. The multidisciplinary international meeting included nine plenary sessions, poster sessions followed by discussions, and three mini-symposia.

The meeting featured an important project in the area of acute pain, initiated by IASP as part of the Global Year Against Acute Pain. A highlight of the Welcome Reception was the introduction and promotion of the first university multidisciplinary textbook Pain: Causes and Treatment, edited by Marko Jukic, Visnja Majeric Kogler, and Mira Fingler.
