A better way to read PAIN® online!
Members: Read PAIN
Great news for PAIN readers! We switched to a new system for
online journal access, which means you no longer need to log on to
Science Direct to read PAIN articles. We retired the reader key
system, and if you forget your password, IASP can reset it for you. Now
it’s easier than ever!
How does it work?
IASP recently switched to a Trusted Proxy Server (TPS) system, which
provides seamless access between the IASP website and the new
Elsevier-hosted PAIN website (www.painjournalonline.com). With TPS, if you are
logged in to the IASP site, you also will be logged in to the
PAIN site and can access the full text of current and archived
issues of PAIN. All you need is your IASP member login.
What do I need to do?
Update your bookmarks or "favorite" pages in your web browser to point
to www.iasp-pain.org/PAIN rather than Science
Direct. It’s that easy! If you are already logged in, choosing "Read PAIN Online" will take you to the new
PAIN website, where you can browse and search the full text of
the journal’s archives. If you are not logged in, you will be
prompted to log in and then be redirected. If you currently access
PAIN through your institution, you can continue to do so
What about email alerts and saved searches?
If you wish to receive email alerts when a new issue of PAIN
is published, or save a customized search on the new PAIN
website, you will have to create a separate login with Elsevier.
Please note: The login you create with Elsevier will not give you
access to the full text of PAIN articles.
If you have questions about the TPS system, please feel free to contact us.
